Swansea City Under-23s Scotland Cameron Toshack

24th July

Cameron Toshack says Swansea City development squad's pre-season trip to Scotland will be a "good test" ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.
The young side head north of the border this coming week to face three Scottish teams ahead the new season.
The Under-23s side kick-off their tour on Tuesday (July 26) against Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton at Cappielow Park.
Gary Richards and Cameron Toshack's men will also face Falkirk on Thursday (July 28) before rounding off the trip with a match against Scottish Premiership side Hamilton Academical at New Douglas Park on Sunday (July 31).
"Our team are ready physically to come up against the challenge we face against the teams in Scotland." Toshack said. "I think the week will be a good test for our young players.
"We want to test and push this group ahead of the new season against men's football.
"A restructuring of the development league format means we play against and with older players meaning the level goes up again.
"We are expecting the quality to be better this season which will give us another opportunity to learn and develop players against stronger sides. All the players and staff are looking forward to the challenge."

The Swans development squad, who play in the newly rebranded Premier League 2 this season, have boosted their numbers this summer with new signings Tyler Reid (Manchester United), George Byers (Watford) and Tom Plezier (Brabant United) joining up with the squad for the tour.
Academy products Jack Evans, Tom Dyson and Aaron Lewis also join the development squads' ranks after earning one-year professional deals.
They'll be joined in Scotland by Under-18s players Mael Davies, Dan Jefferies and Matt Blake whilst Joe Rodon, Adam King and Oliver McBurnie continue pre-season training with the first team.
"Everything is looking really good, we are really pleased with the way the new players have come into the group," added Toshack.
"The squad have really started to take it to a new level with their application and desire on the training pitch which is pleasing for Gary and myself to see.
"Our new signings and the lads who have stepped-up from the Under-18s have made a fantastic start and are fitting in well with the group ahead of the new season.
"A pre-season trip like this is a huge opportunity to gel the squad ahead of the season. The next 7 days is a great opportunity to bring us closer and the best out in the group."
