Swansea City winger Kenji Gorre joins Northampton on loan
29th July
Swansea City winger Kenji Gorre has joined League One club Northampton Town on a six-month loan deal.
Gorre, who has featured in the club's pre-season tour of America and domestic friendly matches against Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town, will remain with Northampton until January 21.
The 21-year-old, who has made one senior appearance for the Swans, will reunite with former Liberty team-mates David Cornell and Raheem Hanley at the Sixfields Stadium.
Dutch-born Gorre made five appearances for ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie last season before returning to Swansea and helping the club's under-21s side reach the Premier Division Two play-offs.
Prior to that, his goals were pivotal in helping the U21s being crowned Development League Two champions.
Gorre, who joined the Swans in the summer of 2013 following his release from Manchester United, will be involved in Northampton's friendly at Eastleigh on Saturday.
The youngster becomes the eighth Swans player to go out on loan this summer, following Bafe Gomis (Marseille), Kyle Bartley, Matt Grimes (both Leeds), Ryan Hedges, Liam Shephard (both Yeovil), Josh Vickers (Barnet) and Oliver Davies (Kilmarnock) in clinching temporary moves.
