Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer undergoes successful ankle operation

22nd September

Swans star Nathan Dyer is aiming to return to action in mid-November after undergoing successful ankle surgery.
Dyer went under the knife this week to remove extra bone which had grown on his ankle.
The winger began complaining of pain shortly after returning from the Swans' pre-season trip to America and had surgery on specialist advice.

"The operation went well," said Swans head of performance Richard Buchanan.
"The specialists are pleased with the outcome and it is estimated that Nathan is likely to be out for between seven and nine weeks."
Dyer has made two appearances this season after returning from a loan spell at Leicester City last term.
The 28-year-old agreed a new four-year Liberty contract in early August.
