Swansea City Women is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Emily Thomas.

Thomas joins the Swans from Aberystwyth Town Women and was named the Seasiders' Young Player of the Season for the 2022-23 campaign, netting eight times.

The 19-year-old rejoins the Swans after four years away having spent her younger footballing years playing in the club's development centre.

The midfielder will wear the number 21 shirt for the Swans for the 2023-24 campaign.

Thomas has been a long-time admirer of the club's playing style and is excited to be part of it for the upcoming campaign.

“I am very excited to be here, it’s a new start and a new chapter for me,” said Thomas

“I was with Swansea when I was young and I was obviously playing against Swansea for four years. It’s quite clear that Swansea play an amazing style of football.

“It’s exciting and you want to be with them not against them, the football they play is something I’ve always wanted to be a part of.

“I know a few of the players. Katy Hosford was one of my coaches when I was with the development centre here and I’ve played alongside Kelsey Thomas as well in the younger years and at Aberystwyth as well.

“I really like using my pace to my advantage, I’m quick and I have an eye for goal and I’ll work hard for everyone.”
