Swansea City Women are delighted to announce the signing of forward Robyn Pinder for the 2023-24 season.

Pinder joins the Swans from 2022-23 Adran Trophy winners Cardiff Met Women, having provided five goals and 10 assists across last season.

The forward brings with her a strong winning mentality, having picked up five Genero Adran Premier titles with Cardiff Met.

The 29-year-old has also had spells with Keynsham Town Ladies and Pontypridd United Women, having spent a total of nine years with Met.

Pinder becomes the Swans second signing of the summer, following the arrival of midfielder Chloe Bull.

She joins Swansea City on a semi-professional contract and will wear the number nine shirt during the upcoming campaign.

“I’m really excited to be here, I’ve been in for a few weeks now and it feels like a home from home already,” said Pinder.

“I’ve made some really good friendships already, doing some really cool things with the staff in terms of working on shape and what they want from me, so I’m really excited.

“Everyone has been really welcoming and really friendly, I was a little bit nervous, but I knew a few of the girls previously through similar friends so it wasn’t as daunting as I thought it would be.

“I think they were a bit shocked when I first walked into the gym for that first training session, but since then it’s been really welcoming.

“The ambition of the club really matches my ambitions, I’m super passionate about football, but also about inspiring the next generation of girls to get involved in football.

“As soon as I spoke to (head coach) Ceri [Phillips] and (general manager) Ian [Owen] they mentioned the one club feel we have here at Swansea, and within a few weeks of walking through the door that was evident.

“My aim is to win trophies, I’m the most competitive person you will ever meet, even last year when we were being doubted, we were still confident of winning a trophy and it’s something I’ll be looking to do again this season.

“The potential in the squad is huge, the ability in the squad is huge, and the minimum for us is at least one trophy this year.”
