Swansea City's 2026-27 Championship fixtures confirmed
Swansea City will kick-off the 2026-27 Championship campaign with an away fixture against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
It means the Swans will be away from home on the opening day of the season for the 17th time in 20 seasons.
This will mark the first time the Swans have faced the Potters on the opening day of the campaign, and they will be hoping to record a first win at the bet365 Stadium since 2021.
The Stoke game will kick-off at 3pm in the Potteries on Saturday, August 15 for the first game of head coach Vitor Matos’ maiden full season at the helm.
Sheffield United visit the Swansea.com Stadium for the Swans’ first home game of the campaign, just as they did last season, the following weekend.
Other notable fixtures include the return of the south Wales derby. The Swans play host to Cardiff on the weekend of November 28, with the return meeting schedule for the weekend of March 13.
Wrexham head to SA1 on the first weekend in September, and the Swans will head to North Wales in mid-April.
Three of the four festive fixtures across the Christmas and New Year period are at home. Preston visit Swansea the weekend before Christmas, with Matos’ men heading to face Wolves for the first time since 2018 on Boxing Day.
Queens Park Rangers head to the Swansea.com Stadium for the last game of 2026, with Charlton Athletic making the trip to south Wales to kick-off 2027.
There are no Easter weekend fixtures this season owing to it falling during the March international break.
The season is rounded off by a home game against Middlesbrough on the first week in May.
Anyone wanting to guarantee their seat for all home fixtures for the 2026-27 campaign can still do so by purchasing a season ticket, with the general sale window ongoing.

Following those opening games against Stoke and Sheffield United, the final league game in August is away at Derby County.
A home double-header against Watford and Wrexham starts September, before an away game against Southampton, although this could end up being moved to after a home fixture against Burnley depending on the outcome of the Carabao Cup third-round draw and the teams’ respective progress in the competition.
The final game before the elongated three-week international break over the end of September and the start of October is at Lincoln City, with Swansea facing the Red Imps for the first time since the 2004-2005 season.
Swansea’s October schedule commences with the hosting of Norwich before a midweek journey to south-east London to take on Millwall.
West Ham United are high-profile visitors to SA1 the following weekend, before a trip to Queens Park Rangers and the welcome of Blackburn Rovers rounds out the month.
The Swans face a midweek trek to the south coast to face Portsmouth at the outset of November before heading to Birmingham City the following weekend.
Home games against West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff – in the first south Wales derby of the season -sandwich the long journey to Middlesbrough, a fixture which had opened Swansea’s last two league campaigns.
A visit to Ashton Gate and Bristol City is next before a first home meeting with newly-promoted Bolton since 2019 and a journey to The Valley to take on Charlton.
Then come the festive fixtures against Preston (h), Wolves (a), Queens Park Rangers (h) and Charlton (h).
Following FA Cup third-round weekend, Swansea head to the London Stadium for the first time since 2018 to face West Ham in East London, and then go to Blackburn before rounding out January with back-to-back home games against Portsmouth and Birmingham City.
Away matches at West Brom and Burnley start February, before the Swans host Millwall and Lincoln – the latter playing at the Swansea.com Stadium for the first time – ahead of a trip to Norwich that rounds out the month.
Swansea are at Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United to kick-off March, with the hosting of Stoke up next ahead of the return south Wales derby fixture.
Home games against Bristol City and Wolves complete March, while April starts at Deepdale against Preston.
Then it is Southampton at home, Wrexham away and Derby home, before the final away games of the season at Watford and Bolton.
Boro then visit Swansea to complete the season.
