Tancock: Let's build on win

21st October

Scott Tancock believes it's "massively important" that the Swans Under-21s build on their 3-1 victory over Bristol City, starting with the trip to Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Kristian O'Leary's side are in U21 Professional Development League action on Tuesday afternoon (Oct 22, 2pm) away to the Eagles at Tooting and Mitcham FC.

The Swans have endured a difficult start to the season, but a 3-1 victory at home to Bristol City, in their last league outing, gave the young side their first league win of the season.

And the U21s captain Tancock says the development side have to kick on from here.

"It's massively important, especially after our slow start," he explained.  "We've dropped points in games we maybe should have won.

"From the game against Bristol City, we have to kick on. It's important for our development.

"The new boys have settled in really well. They've played crucial parts, especially in the Bristol victory.

"At Crystal Palace, we need to pick up from where we left off against Bristol City because, as a team, we want to pick up as many points as we can."

Tancock has now set his sights on continuing his development with the Swansea U21s, hoping that he will be able to get some first-team experience in the near future.

He added: "I just want to play as many games as I can.

"If I can go out on loan to a Football League club and get some experience, that would be great.

"If not, it would be hugely beneficial for me to be involved in some cup games with our first-team."
