Tate seals Yeovil loan move

23rd July

Swansea City defender Alan Tate has joined newly-promoted Championship side Yeovil Town on loan until January 2, subject to international clearance.
Tate was training with the Glovers yesterday and goes straight into the squad for tonight's friendly against Exeter City - who the Swans beat 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The 30-year-old, who has featured in every division for the Swans, will bolster the options of Gary Johnson's side, who earned their place in the second tier after winning the League One Play-Offs last season.
Tate, who was captain in the club's first ever Premier League fixture at Manchester City, featured just four times for the Swans last season before joining Championship side Leeds United on loan.
With a number of summer signings strengthening Michael Laudrup's squad, Tate hasn't featured for the first team in pre-season, which included a 5-0 win at Yeovil last weekend.
But he now heads to Huish Park as the Glovers hope to draw on his experience ahead of their Championship campaign.
