Tom Carroll

Tom Carroll makes his first Swansea City appearance in 10 months as he starts tonight’s Carabao Cup second-round clash against Cambridge United.

The midfielder has been beset by hip injury problems, but has completed his rehab following surgery earlier this year and will feature against the Us.

There are 11 changes in total from the weekend win over Birmingham, but nine of the starting line-up started the first-round meeting against Northampton earlier this month.

From that side, Carroll comes in for Yan Dhanda, while exciting winger Jordon Garrick makes his first start with Barrie McKay on the bench.

Kristoffer Nordfeldt is in goal, with captain Kyle Naughton, Ben Cabango, Ben Wilmot and Declan John the back four ahead of him.

George Byers partners Carroll in midfield, with Garrick, Wayne Routledge and Kristoffer Peterson operating as a trio ahead of the deep-lying pair.

Sam Surridge leads the line for Steve Cooper’s side.
