Team news | Swansea City v Millwall

First team
Steven Benda

Swansea City head coach Steve Cooper makes one enforced change for the Championship clash with Millwall, while new signing Viktor Gyokeres could make his debut from the bench.

The sole change from the side that started the first three games of the season comes in goal, with German keeper Steven Benda set to make his Swans debut in place of Freddie Woodman, who is absent with a stomach bug.

Yan Dhanda misses out on a place on the bench, also due to a stomach bug, but Jordon Garrick has recovered from a groin injury to take his place among the substitutes.

He will be alongside striker Gyokeres, who completed his loan move from Brighton on Friday.

Benda, who helped Swindon secure promotion from League Two during an impressive loan spell last term, starts in goal with a three-man defence of Joe Rodon, Marc Guehi and Ben Cabango ahead of him.

Jake Bidwell and Connor Roberts are the wing-backs, either side of the midfield pairing of Korey Smith and captain Matt Grimes.

Morgan Gibbs-White fills the attacking midfield role, with Andre Ayew and Jamal Lowe in attack looking to build on opening their goal accounts for the season at Wycombe last weekend.

Teenage goalkeeper Lewis Webb comes onto the bench due to Benda’s promotion.
