Matt Grimes saluted Swansea City's attitude after their stalemate against Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder helped the Swans to a share of the spoils against Forest, with neither team able to find a breakthrough at the Liberty Stadium.

Graham Potter’s side were not helped by injuries once again as Jay Fulton (sickness) and Bersant Celina (ankle) were forced off at half-time.

Dhanda’s effort in the opening minutes of the second half tested Costel Pantilimon in Forest’s goal while Joel Asoro also saw his shot saved, while Ben Osborn and Gil Dias both forced saves from Erwin Mulder.

“I think a draw was a fair result,” Grimes said.

“We picked up a few injuries during the game and it disrupted our flow.

“We played some good stuff in the first half but could not find the back of the net. They then pushed hard for a winner in the second half so when we look back I think we will be happy with the point.”

The Swans don’t have long to wait with their next game, with Potter's side in action against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Grimes paid tribute to the Swans' character after they made it 12 points from seven games in the Championship this season.

“A game like that is a massive learning experience for us,” he said.

“I think it is testament to our character that we don’t let injuries unsettle us, that we just get on with it. We show a great attitude and grind out results.

“We have two big away games coming up but anyone can beat anyone in this league. We are still full of confidence off the back of Millwall so we will go there and do our best.”
