Championship | May 7, 2011
Swansea signed off the 2010-11 Championship campaign in style, sweeping aside a relegated Sheffield United side to move into third place and set up a play-off semi-final against Nottingham Forest.

Sinclair made no mistake from the resulting penalty, taking his tally for the season to 24 goals and putting the Swans firmly in control.
Dobbie added his second five minutes later with a powerful strike from the edge of the area, before Leon Britton completed the rout with a fine half-volley from 25 yards against his former club.

A Lee Trundle penalty and a 25-yard strike from Tom Butler gave the Swans their first home win of the season back in 2009, despite finishing the contest with just nine players.
Trundle put the Swans ahead from the penalty spot after being brought down by Nick Montgomery, but Sheffield United responded when Stephen Quinn turned James Harper’s effort beyond Dorus de Vries with a backheel.
The game descended into a dramatic final 20 minutes. Jordi Lopez was shown a second yellow card after a challenge on Ched Evans, leaving Paulo Sousa’s side with 10 men.
Yet the Swans refused to settle for a point. Butler produced a superb 25-yard finish with eight minutes remaining to restore the lead.
Nathan Dyer was subsequently dismissed for a second bookable offence, but Swansea held firm to secure a vital three points despite the numerical disadvantage.
The victory was particularly valuable given the circumstances, coming after four matches without a win and three consecutive games without scoring. The Swans had also lost influential midfielder Ferrie Bodde to injury after just eight minutes of his first start in 10 months.
