Throwback Thursday: Swans thrash Bristol City at the Liberty

10th September

Swansea 7-1 Bristol City
League One - Saturday, 10 September 2005
A hat-trick from Kevin McLeod helped Swansea to their biggest win at their new Liberty Stadium home after a scintillating performance against Bristol City.
In a dominant first half, the hosts side broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when McLeod curled home a fine shot.
Adebayo Akinfenwa doubled the home side's lead just five minutes after the break when his cross-shot found the net, before Lee Trundle scored his first from the penalty spot to make it 3-0.
McLeod then grabbed his second of the game just 11 minutes later, with Trundle making it five with 19 minutes still to play.
Midfield maestro Leon Britton burst through a static City defence to score the Swans sixth of the afternoon before David Cotterill pulled a goal back for the beleaguered visitors.
But despite seeing Kevin Austin sent off for two bookable offences, McLeod put the icing on the cake when he scored his hat-trick and seal an impressive win.
