28th January

Swansea 2-0 Fulham
Barclays Premier League - Tuesday, 28 January 2014
The Swans ended a run of eight league games without a win thanks to a comfortable victory over Fulham at the Liberty.
The home side started well in a bright first half as Wilfried Bony looped a header over and Jonjo Shelvey crashed an effort against the crossbar.
At the other end, Ashkan Dejagah headed straight at Gerhard Tremmel, while Clint Dempsey also forced the Swans goalkeeper into action as both teams went into the break goalless.
But Swansea turned the screw in the second period and after Martin Stekelenburg saved well from Chico Flores, the home side went ahead on the hour mark.
Substitute Nathan Dyer teed up Jonjo Shelvey on the edge of the box and his shot took a double deflection on its way into the net.
Jonathan de Guzman nearly made it two when his curling effort was saved, but the points were made safe with 15 minutes remaining as his free-kick was met by Chico Flores and his effort went in off Dimitar Berbatov.

SWANS: Tremmel, Rangel, Chico Flores, Williams, Davies, Britton, De Guzman (Pozuelo, 88), Shelvey (Amat, 79), Routledge, Hernandez (Dyer, 58), Bony.

FULHAM: Stekelenburg, Riether, Richardson, Sidwell, Hangeland, Burn, Dejagah (Bent, 59), Parker, Berbatov (Tankovic, 83), Dempsey (Duff, 71), Kacaniklic.
