26th March

Swansea City 2-1 West Brom
Division One - Saturday, March 26 1983
The Swans secured an important victory over West Brom to give themselves hope of top-flight survival.
Goals from Robbie James and Bob Latched handed all three points to the home side as they looked to turn their season around.
However, the Swans' campaign would ultimately end in disappointment as the club was relegated from the First Division.
Having won promotion in 1981 and coming agonisingly close to winning the title the season before, John Toshack's side returned to the second tier of English football in what would begin a sad decline down the leagues.

SWANS XI: Sander, Marustik, Richards, Stevenson, Lewis, Rajkovic, Loveridge, James, Walsh (Curtis), Stanley, Latchford.
