The Swans secured three points with a comfortable win over Crewe at the Vetch.
Former Wales international Alan Davies scored the Swans' first - his third goal in seven games - before David D'Auria added another.
Paul Raynor sealed victory for Terry Yorath's side, who would the season four points above third-bottom Crewe, who occupied the final relegation spot.
The Swans would lift silverware at the end of the campaign, though, as they beat Wrexham 2-0 at the National Stadium in Cardiff.
