Toshack takes centre-stage in Jack Mag

15th March

Swans and Liverpool legend John Toshack goes under the spotlight in Monday night's Jack Magazine as the Swans host the Reds at the Liberty Stadium.

In an exclusive interview with the official matchday programme, Toshack discusses Garry Monk, learning from Bill Shankly and watching the Swans from afar.

"He might have known the club well, having been at Swansea for so many years, but when you go into management you've still got to go and do it and produce the goods," insists Toshack.

"Of course I keep an eye on how the Swans are doing. And under Garry Monk, they are more than holding their own.

"I think it helped that they had a super start with that win at Old Trafford, which gave the players and the manager confidence.

"Garry will have noticed a major difference in his day-to-day life since becoming manager. It's a 24-hour job and it takes a lot of work, but he has done a fantastic job so far - probably better than people might have expected."

Monday night's Jack Magazine really is a Swansea-Liverpool special as we bring you two more exclusive interviews with icons of the two clubs, from past and present.

Jonjo Shelvey speaks to the official matchday programme on why he compare himself to marmite, why he feels settled in Swansea, and how he feels about the possibility of facing his boyhood hero one last time.

Meanwhile, former Reds midfielder and Swans player-manager Jan Molby takes time out to reflect his time at Anfield and the Vetch Field.

And there's plenty more in store to keep you entertained right up until kick-off in this weekend's jam-packed edition of Jack Magazine, which will be available for £3 on matchday from around the Liberty Stadium, the Club Shop and online.

It will also be available in Slee Stores in Plasmari, Coggers on Wind Street and Browns Newsagent in Landore.

Jack Magazine really is a must-have for any Swans fan. Don't miss out.
