Tour Talk: Michu

Hot-shot Michu is counting down the days to the big kick-off as he aims to keep firing the Swans to domestic and European success.
The Spaniard amassed an amazing 22 goals in all competitions last season as he was billed the Barclay Premier League's bargain buy following his £2m move from Rayo Vallecano last summer.
And as the striker counts down the days on their pre-season tour of Holland to the big Europa League opener on August 1, Michu is champing at the bit to start the serious stuff.
"These training days are good for fitness, for the new boys to gel and for  the gaffer to tell us what he wants from us this season,'' declared Michu. "But, for me, I really can't wait for the real stuff to start.
"We've got four competitions to aim for and I'm really looking forward to each challenge.''
Michu admits though that he has enjoyed his time off back home in Spain during the summer, especially being among family and friends in his home town of Oviedo.
"I had a great welcome home,'' he added. "My city really supports me and I always feel that support wherever I am. The local people there are incredible with me.
"It was nice to go back to see my old club Oviedo play, especially after all the financial problems they have gone through. They are financially stable now and reached the play-offs for promotion to the Segunda B. Unfortunately they lost, but hopefully next season.
"Everyone was jokingly asking me to play, but I don't think I would have got away with it with the authorities!
"I think the people throughout Spain know a lot more about me now because Swansea did well in the Premier League last season, won a trophy and I scored a few goals along the way. That's the global attraction of the Premier League these days.''
Having arrived back in Wales, Michu has been impressed with the new recruits Michael Laudrup has drafted in, especially as three of them are from his native Spain.
"It's good to have a few more Spanish voices here, but for me it is not important what country the players are from. What is important is that they are good players and help make the group stronger.
"I will help the new boys settle in, like Angel (Rangel) helped me, Chico and Pablo (Hernandez) when I first arrived. I know it can be difficult arriving in a new country. It's up to me, Chico, Pablo and Angel to help Jose (Canas), Alejandro (Pozuelo) and Jordi (Amat) with all the things they need.
"We will keep learning English to maintain our close bond with the other players and mix culturally with the fans in the city, who have been great with us all.''
The question on everyone's Premier League lips, however, will be whether Michu can match his remarkable goalscoring feats for a second season in the top flight.
"I am not thinking about how many goals I can score at this stage,'' added Michu. "I just want to work hard to try and help the team. If I score then that will be a bonus for me and the team.
"I think we have got a number of good players in the squad that can score goals next season.''
There's also the addition of a new striker, or two, which is music to Michu's ears.
"I will play wherever I am needed, but I think everyone knows I prefer the number 10 role rather than the main striker,'' he adds.
"But there are a lot more players challenging for that position behind the front-man now; so competition is going to be really tough.''
