TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY: Alex Samuel makes Morton loan move

1st September

Swansea City youngster Alex Samuel has joined Scottish Championship side Morton on loan until January 9.
The 19-year-old striker will spend the next four months with Morton - who won the Scottish League One title last season - as he aims to gain his first experience of senior football.
Samuel, who was born in Neath, signed for the Swans from Welsh Premier League club Aberystwyth Town in 2012.
Last season he featured heavily for the club's under-21s side as they won Professional Development League Two.

Meanwhile, Swans youngster Liam Shephard has been called up by Wales Under-21s for their forthcoming qualifier against Luxembourg.
He joins Josh Sheehan and Ryan Hedges in the squad, though Owain Jones has withdrawn through illness.
