Trust launches Swans Family Fun Run

9th February

Have fun and stay fit by putting your best foot forward for the first Swans Family Fun Run.
Swans Community Trust is staging the event on March 28, with options to choose from a 1k, 5k or timed 10k race which will see participants cross the finish line after running through the Liberty.
In addition to all runners receiving a commemorative medal on completion, the fastest male and female running the 10k will win a signed Swans shirt.
With the money raised going towards the Trust, the event will help Swansea City's official charity to continue to deliver health, education and youth engagement projects aiming to improve the lives of people within our local communities.
"Swans Community Trust are delighted to be holding our first 10k at the Liberty Stadium this Easter," said the Trust's fundraising officer, Charlotte Rogers. "The event will be a fun-filled affair for the whole family, with 1k and 5k races for our younger runners too.
"The Trust aims to encourage all Swans supporters and communities in South West Wales to live healthier and more active lifestyles, so if you're up for the challenge and you're looking for a fun family day out over the Easter holidays, come along."
Organised by the Swans Community Trust and running event experts, RunSwansea, the event will be held on Easter Monday at the Liberty Stadium and invites families to get involved to help promote healthy living and raise money for the Swans' official charity in the process. The event will also see the Trust partner with DW Harris, Princes Gate and St. John Ambulance as event sponsors.
"David W Harris & Co provide sponsorship to sporting clubs and associations across South Wales," said Neil Startup, DW Harris' practice manager.
"The Swansea fun run is a natural fit for DW Harris and we are proud and delighted to be a sponsor. Good luck to all runners!"

• 1k - £5 (starts at 10am)
