TV Chef duo to battle it out in celebrity match

31st March

TV chefs Dean Edwards and Glynn Purnell are the latest names to sign-up for this May's SwansAid celebrity soccer match.
Masterchef runner-up Edwards has featured on ITV's This Morning show before becoming the resident chef on ITV's Lorraine show since 2010.
Edwards will be joined on the pitch by Michelin star chef Purnell.
"I am really looking forward to the big match at a fantastic ground," said Purnell.
"Of course with Dean being in the other squad I can see it being battle of the pans with me and Dean, but, most importantly, it's raise money for a great cause."
Dean added: "This should be a mismatch - one amazing Michelin star chef against a TV chef - but come the game, the aprons will be off for an amazing cause!"
The pair join a host of other celebs for the match at the Liberty Stadium, including X-Factor stars Jake Quickenden, Shayne Ward, Sam Bailey and Jay James, who have also signed-up to help raise money for SwansAid.
Other stars from TV and sport include former Team GB Olympic sprinter Jamie Baulch, while Eastenders star Adam Woodyatt returns for a second year.
Last year's match attracted over 10,500 fans, helping to raise more than £55,000 for SwansAid, which is then spread throughout local charities.
