Under-21s held to draw by Wrexham

15th July

The Under-21s were held to a 2-2 draw by Conference side Wrexham in their latest pre-season friendly at Landore.
Captained by midfielder Leon Britton, the home side found themselves a goal down after just three minutes as Lee Fowler's corner from the left was headed in by Connor Jennings.
The Swans almost drew level within a minute but Henry Jones saw a curling free kick come back off the upright.
But Jones wasn't to be denied as he found the net after 10 minutes, rifling a fine left-foot shot into the roof of the net after good work from Ryan Hedges.
And Hedges himself was involved shortly after as the home side went ahead.
The Wales Under-21 international - who recently signed a new three-year contract at the club - cut in from the right flank before lashing a fierce drive past the goalkeeper from 20 yards.

A flurry of substitutions from both sides altered the flow of the game in the second period, but Wrexham earned a share of the spoils with ten minutes to play.
After a fine run from Wes York, his low shot was parried by Oliver Davies and Danny Reynolds was on hand to stab home the rebound from close range.
The Under-21s now look ahead to a week-long training camp in Holland where they will play three friendly matches before returning to South Wales for matches against Aston Villa Under-21s (August 1) and League One side Yeovil (August 4).
