Vital statistics: Brentford

​​​​​​​Swansea City came out on top in one of their games of the season over the weekend as they won 3-2 at Brentford.

We check out the key numbers following a timely victory.

33 – Wayne Routledge’s opening goal at Brentford was officially timed at 33 seconds, making it the third quickest goal in the Championship this season.

20 – It was Routledge’s first league strike since he netted against Tottenham in April 2017, 20 months ago.

3 – The Swans scored three first-half goals for the first time in a league game since 2012.

23 – The Swans scored three times in an away league game for the first time in 23 months. They last did it in that famous win at Anfield in January 2017.

4 – Graham Potter’s team have now managed four away wins this season. Only five teams in the Championship – the current top four plus Bristol City – have more.

1 – Mike van der Hoorn is the only Swans player who has started all 21 of their Championship games this season after Connor Roberts began at the bench at Griffin Park.

14 – Roberts’s rest did not last long. The Wales star was named on the bench at Brentford having played a lot of football this season, but came on after just 14 minutes as a result of Martin Olsson’s injury.

4 – Chris Mepham turned the ball into his own net for the Swans’ second goal at Brentford. That is the fourth own goal the Swans have forced this season.

10 – The Swans have either won or lost their last 10 games, with their last draw coming at Wigan in early October.

1 – Like Routledge, Leroy Fer scored his first goal of the season this weekend. He last netted at Everton last December.
