Vorm says farewell to "Swansea family"

Michel Vorm admits he will miss the "Swansea family" after leaving the club to join Tottenham Hotspur.
The Dutch international ended his three-year spell at the Liberty after completing his move to White Hart Lane for an undisclosed fee.
Vorm's time with the Swans was hugely successful following his £1.5million switch from Dutch club Utrecht.
In his first season with the club he won three awards at the end-of-season function - Supporters' Player of the Year, Players' Player and Away Player - as the Swans finished 11th in their debut Barclays Premier League campaign.
The following campaign his performances helped the club finish ninth in the league while the Swans also lifted the Capital One Cup.
That brought Europa League football to the calendar, with the highlight being a memorable 3-0 win over Valencia at the Mestalla as the Swans eventually bowed out in the last 32 of the competition.
On the domestic front, the Swans ended a third Premier League campaign in 12th with Vorm making 26 appearances.
And the 29-year-old reflected fondly on his time in South Wales.
"Swansea has been very good to me from the very first second I stepped out onto the pitch at Manchester City to the last second at Southampton," said Vorm, who made 97 appearances in all competitions for the Swans.
"It's been one hell of a ride, but an enjoyable one.
"I've seen Swansea grow over the last three years and people talk positively about the club - whether that's in Holland, Britain, Dubai or the States - for what it has achieved on and off the pitch.
"We've beaten some big teams over the last three years and I believe Swansea will continue to establish themselves as a Premier League club over the next three.
"I think I am leaving Swansea with my head held high and I hope I have left a good impression as a person and player on and off the pitch.
"The people of Swansea have been good to me and my family and it is something we will never forget.
"I'm going to miss the Swansea family because we've been through a lot together over the last three years; but that's football.
"I am moving to a big club and it's a good challenge for me. Sometimes when a club like Spurs comes along you have to consider the future and make a decision."
Vorm points to the Capital One Cup semi-final win over Chelsea; the Wembley final victory over Bradford City and the 3-0 victory over Valencia in the Mestalla as the highlights of his time at the Liberty Stadium.
He added: "Even though I didn't play in the final, it was a great occasion to be part of at Wembley. It made the people of Swansea so proud of the club and the city. To see the fans so happy was amazing because they have always been so good to me.
"It gave us European football and a night I will never forget when we beat Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium. It put Swansea firmly on the European map."
Vorm ended his stint in Wales by representing the Swans in the World Cup for Holland as he came off the bench for a late cameo appearance in their third-place victory over hosts Brazil.
"I had my few minutes of fame," joked Vorm. "But it was a great moment for me and a beautiful tournament in every way for us."
Vorm joins former Swans team-mate Ben Davies at White Hart Lane after an undisclosed fee was also agreed for the Welsh international.
