Wales book Euro 2016 quarter-final

25th June

Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor both featured as Wales reached the Euro 2016 quarter-finals after a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland in Paris.
In a tense game with few chances, Wales edged the contest as West Brom defender Gareth McAuley turned in Gareth Bale's 75th minute cross.
Swans pair Williams, who battled on despite suffering an arm injury late on after clattering into team-mate Jonathan Williams, and Taylor played the full 90 minutes as Wales secured a historic result.
They now face either Belgium or Hungary in the quarter-final on Friday night.
The result came on the back of another successful outcome for Swans team-mate Lukasz Fabianski, who starred as Poland beat Switzerland after a penalty shootout.
The keeper made a string of fine saves for Poland, who had led until the Swiss levelled with eight minutes left.
And Fabianski looked on as Poland put their final penalty into the top corner to win 5-4 after the shootout.
