Wales call-ups for Academy youngsters

More than 15 Swansea City academy players have been called up to represent Wales for their respective age-groups during the international break.
Alex Godfrey, Carter Heywood and Alfie Jones have been named in the Wales Under-17s squad for their friendly double header against Estonia.
Scholars Thomas Wright, Kaven Bloniarczyk, Callum Jones, Kai Rhodes and Milo Robinson will be making the trip to Japan with Wales Under-18s for their fixtures against Japan, Australia and Niigata. Former Swansea City Under-21s head coach Jon Grey will be leading the squad on that tour.
Both Iestyn Jones and Harlan Perry have been named in Craig Knight's under-19s' squad for their mini tournament in north Wales with fixtures against Austria and Belgium.
At under-21s' level, Ben Lloyd (on loan at Newport County), Joel Cotterill, Sam Parker, Kit Margetson (on loan at Connah's Quay), Cameron Congreve (on loan at Dundee), and Evan Watts (on loan at Galway United) have been named in Matty Jones' squad for their upcoming Euro 2027 qualifier against top seeds Denmark.
The fixture will take place at Rodney Parade on Monday, September 8 (7.30pm kick-off). Tickets are available HERE.
Elsewhere, Sebastian Dabrowski - who holds dual nationality for Wales and Poland - has been called up to represent Poland Under-20s for their fixture against Portugal on Tuesday, September 9.

At under-16s level, Swansea City youth phase players Bobby Lewis and Alffi Hughes took part in the recent inaugural Gary Speed Cup.
Lewis scored in all three fixtures against Japan, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar, captaining his side against the latter. Hughes also featured in every game.
