Wales miss out on Euro 2016 final

6th July

The dream is over for Wales as their hopes of reaching the Euro 2016 final were ended by Portugal after a 2-0 defeat in the semi-final.
Both Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor played the full game as Wales, who were on level terms at half-time, were undone by two goals in three minutes by Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani after the break.
Chris Coleman's side, minus the suspended Ben Davies and Aaron Ramsey, failed to create any real chances against the Portuguese, who face either hosts France or world champions Germany in the final on Sunday.
It proved a memorable tournament, though, for Wales, who were competing in their first major competition for the first time in 58 years.
Everyone at Swansea City would like to congratulate Wales on their achievements at the tournament.
