Watch the Swans' motivational video

1st March

The Swans' perfect performance at Wembley last Sunday created club history - now we bring you the video that helped motivate the squad for the Capital One Cup Final.
The team were pumped up as they ran out at the famous stadium, and went on to claim a record-breaking score in the final of the competition thanks to a 5-0 win over Bradford City.
In the build-up to this game, Michael Laudrup's squad were shown a montage of the Swans' greatest moments, featuring clips such as the journey from the successful battle against relegation from the Football League to the Championship Play-off Final win over Reading and this season's highlights.
First Team Coach Alan Curtis said: "We showed the players a montage because it is not just a cup final, it is about the 100 years.
"I think it is just important for the players to be aware of the history of the club, of the great players and teams we have had before. It was only a couple of minutes, but it had people like Ivor (Allchurch), Robbie James, James Thomas.
"It showed a few things, clips from the past. And the cup run from this season.
"It was important for the players to know the history - the history is what made us what we are today."
It was a message that clearly set the tone for the squad, with Angel Rangel insisting it really hammered home the important role the club plays for the city and supporters.
"It was really emotional watching it because it really showed us what we were playing for, what this club means and what it's been through," said Rangel.
"It spelt out that it wasn't very long ago that this club was in a bad way.
"There are people at the club who have been through the good and bad times, people like Alan Curtis who has been here long enough to have seen everything.
"It reminded you the fans have been through it too and that right now, this was the moment to make sure this is the best time ever for the club and the city."
