'We have everything to gain'

Andre Ayew believes Swansea City have everything to gain as they get set to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday (4.30pm).

Pep Guardiola’s star-studded side were crowned Premier League champions last weekend with five games of the season still to play.

They will start as hot favourites against the Swans, who are yet to claim a Premier League point on Manchester City's ground since promotion in 2011.

But Ayew reckons being the underdogs could work to the advantage of Carlos Carvalhal’s men as they look to pull off one of the shocks of the season.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game,” he said. “They’re the champions and deservedly so, they’ve been the best team this year by a mile.

“But they’re just like any other team – nothing is impossible. We need to prepare, listen to Carlos’ plans and try to apply them in the game.

“We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
