'We have to fight hard'

Andre Ayew has called on Swansea City to rise to the big occasion when they welcome Chelsea to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday (5.30pm).

Carlos Carvalhal’s side are 17th in the Premier League with 33 points – four clear of the relegation zone – with just four games of the season remaining.

Ayew knows the Swans are in for a tough challenge against last season's Premier League champions but, after just one home league defeat in 2018, he believes Carvalhal's men can deliver a big result.

“It’s important for everyone to put in a shift to help us get a result,” he tells this weekend’s Jack Magazine.

“It’s a very important game at home and the stadium is going to be packed.

“When we play at home, the fans always have a lot of belief and get behind us.

“We have to fight hard, play our football and try to make something happen.”
