We're determined to bounce back, says Ryan Manning
Ryan Manning revealed Swansea City are determined to return to winning ways as the Championship approaches “an important time” of the season.
Russell Martin’s side host Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and go into the game on the back of consecutive defeats to Reading and Middlesbrough.
Forest’s visit to SA1 is the Swans’ last home game before Christmas, while games with QPR, Millwall, Luton and Fulham all follow over the festive and new year period.
And Manning, who has made 19 leagues appearances this season at centre-back and left wing-back, believes it is going to be a significant period of the campaign that will help shape the division.
“The last couple of results have been frustrating. The way we conceded twice after scoring against Reading was very frustrating, while we conceded a sloppy goal against Middlesbrough last weekend and lost,” said the Ireland international.
“So it means we go into this game on the back of two losses, and we want to react to that with a win.
“We’re back at home, where our form has been strong this season, and we want to put a good run together and come out the other end of a busy Christmas period in the mixer.
“Once Christmas is over, the league table starts to settle quite a bit. It’s an important time to be either in the play-offs or within touching distance.”
