Wilfried Bony takes centre-stage in Boxing Day's Jack Mag

24th December

Swansea's goal machine Wilfried Bony goes under the festive spotlight in Jack Magazine as the Swans host Aston Villa at the Liberty Stadium on Boxing Day (3pm).
In an exclusive interview with the official matchday programme, the Ivory Coast international discusses starting his career as a centre-back, how he first found his shooting boots, and tormenting defenders with his sheer strength.
Judging by his goalscoring record, few would have imagined that Bony began his football career as a defender. But that's how it all started for the man who is set to finish the calendar year as the Barclays Premier League's top scorer.
"I started off as a defender, but I became a striker when I was 14, I think," explains Bony.
"One of our forwards got injured so I had to go up front. In my first game I scored straight away and they asked me to stay there. They said: 'you're not a stopper anymore'."

Also in Sunday's edition of Jack Magazine, lifelong Aston Villa supporter Geezer Butler - member of English rock band Black Sabbath - discusses his love affair with the Villans, while former Swans and Aston Villa defender Leighton Phillips features in 'Foot in Both Camps'.
Meanwhile, we bring you an exclusive interview with ex-Venezuela international and former Swan Giovanni Saverese, a special festive feature on how the Swans spread the Christmas cheer to local kids, and Lee Trundle gives us the lowdown on the Barclays Premier League Live event in Mumbai.
And there's plenty more in store to keep you entertained right up until kick-off in Boxing Day's jam-packed edition of Jack Magazine, which will be available for £3 on matchday from around the Liberty Stadium, the Club Shop and online.
It will also be available in Slee Stores in Plasmari, Coggers on Wind Street and Browns Newsagent in Landore.
Jack Magazine really is a must-have for any Swans fan. Don't miss out.
