World Cup heartbreak for Swans' Dutch duo

9th July
Michel Vorm and Jonathan de Guzman featured as unused substitutes as Holland suffered World Cup heartbreak after losing 4-2 on penalties to Argentina in the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup.

After the game remained goalless at the end of extra-time, Argentina goalkeeper saved penalties from Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder, while Lionel Messi, Ezequiel Garay, Sergio Aguero and Max Rodriguez all scored from the spot for the South American nation.

Chances were few and far between in a cagey 120 minutes in Sao Paulo, with Argentina's Gonzalo Higuain poking the best opportunity of the match into the side-netting in normal time.

In what will be their first World Cup final since 1990, Argentina will face Germany in the tournament decider on Sunday (8pm, July 13).
