Young Swans called into Wales U21s & U19s

Three Swansea City youngsters have been called up to represent Wales Under-21s ahead of September’s internationals.

Under-23s captain Joe Rodon could earn his second cap for the Young Dragons after being named in Rob Page’s squad to face Switzerland and Portugal in their Uefa Championship qualifiers.

Midfielder Jack Evans have also been included in the squad alongside winger Daniel James, who is currently on loan at League One side Shrewsbury Town. 

Wales Under-21s face Switzerland in Biel next Friday, September 1 before playing Portugal in Chaves on Tuesday, September 5.

Meanwhile, five Swans academy players have been called into Wales' Under-19s squad to face two games against Iceland in Rhyl.

Under-18s captain Brandon Cooper will join Joe Lewis, Mason Jones-Thomas, Keiran Evans and Liam Cullen in the U19 squad.

They face Iceland on Saturday 2nd and Monday 4th August.
