Yzzy Taylor | We showed good patience and resilience

Swansea City Women’s manager Yzzy Taylor was delighted with the resilience her side showed during their 2-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town.
The Swans maintained their 100% start to the season, with goals in either half from Eilish Mitchell and Aimee Deacon handing them the win over the Seasiders, who had themselves begun the campaign unbeaten and without conceding prior to Sunday's encounter.
Taylor was full of praise for her side, noting the importance of patience and composure against a stubborn Aberystwyth defence.
“I am over the moon, we are really proud of the clean sheet because I think when you get that you are already halfway there.
“We had to dig in a bit today and it was a bit of a different test than we were expecting but overall we are really pleased with the result.
“We knew they would be robust in what they were doing, they were going to be tough to break down and they were coming into the game similar to us in having not conceded this season.
“We knew we would have to be patient in what we were doing and have to tweak a few things in terms of our build-up play especially going into the second half but - with the resilience that we showed - it made the second half really comfortable."
Taylor also spoke of her delight for Mitchell, who opened her Swans account with the first goal on her first start, with the defender making the most of her opportunity with Jess Williams out suspended.
“It's a great moment for Eilish, she’s had to wait for her start but she has come in and I thought she played superbly," added Taylor.
"She looked really composed on the ball and I was really happy for her to get that goal."
