On This Day | Swansea City is formed
Swansea Town, the professional football club, came into being on June 14, 1912.
Richard Stearman described being handed the chance to continue as first-team coach at Swansea City as a privilege, having been confirmed as part of Alan Sheehan’s backroom staff ahead of the 2025-26 season.
EFL in the Community and the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) provided Swansea City AFC Foundation with the opportunity to take part in the Creative Minds programme to support children in looking after their mental health.
Swansea City is delighted to have received a Football Association of Wales Academy Licence, which will allow the club to continue to improve the standard and competition of its girls’ teams and the development pathway for young players.
