11/08/2018 14:00 v Preston North End

11th August
First team

Jay Fulton scored his first league goal for Swansea City as Graham Potter's side continued their perfect start with victory over Preston at the Liberty.
Potter, who led the Swans to an opening-day 2-1 win at Sheffield United, took charge of his first game in SA1 with the hosts just doing enough to seal victory.
Not even Oli McBurnie's saved penalty and the replacement of keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt within 20 minutes could stop the Swans from making it two wins from two.
As it was, Fulton's header in the 33rd minute put smiles on the faces of the Jack Army during a damp afternoon at the Liberty.
The Scottish midfielder climbed highest to meet Joel Asoro's cross, with keeper Declan Rudd left stranded.
Potter had missed the build up to this game through illness, but he was back in the dug out.
He named just one change from the team that beat the Blades, with academy product Joe Rodon handed a debut in defence following Federico Fernandez's transfer to Newcastle United. Transfer deadline day signing Declan John, meanwhile, missed out through injury.
And Rodon impressed on his first outing for the club, with the 20-year-old looking settled alongside captain Mike van der Hoorn.
The Swans were well on top in the first half, with Potter's side starting on the front foot.
With ten minutes on the clock, referee James Linington pointed to the spot after Barrie McKay was tumbled over in the box by Alan Browne.
Up stepped McBurnie, but RTudd got down low to pad it out for a corner.
Then came an injury to Nordfeldt, with the Swans having to hand an unexpected debut to Dutchman Erwin Mulder.
It failed to disrupt the hosts, though, with Fulton heading home the opener in the 33rd minute.
Asoro then shot wide before Martin Olsson struck a free-kick wide from an angle.
The second half was a different story, with Preston looking a different threat.
The lively Tom Barkhuizen thought he had levelled only to be pulled back for a handball, then Lukas Nmecha flicked a header wide.
Barkhuizen then fired wide before Mulder tipped a powerful Nmecha effort over the crossbar.
Preston were pushing, but the Swans were asking questions on the counter.
And McBurnie went within inches of doubling the lead when Bersant Celina sent him racing towards goal, only for the striker to scoop his shot over.
After a late Preston push, the Swans hung on for three points.
Victory meant the Swans had won their opening two league matches for the first time since 2012.
