Adam Idah | I am already excited by what next season has in store
Adam Idah will head into the summer already excited about what next season holds in store after his brace helped Swansea City round off the 2025-26 campaign with a 3-1 victory over Charlton Athletic.
The striker came off the bench to break the deadlock against the Addicks, thumping home a Josh Key cutback.
Charlton quickly equalised through a Miles Leaburn header, but Idah was soon on the mark again, converting from debutant Thomas Woodward's pass to put Swansea back in front.
And Leo Walta went on to complete the scoring with a wonderful free-kick that was his first goal since joining the Swans.
Injury misfortune kept Idah sidelined for more than three months of the campaign, but he has returned in fine form with three goals in the final seven games.
And the Republic of Ireland international is eagerly looking forward to what 2026-27 has to offer.
"It was the best way possible to finish the season, and personally to get two goals was great. But the main job was to get the win and we did that, so we are delighted," he said.
"It's been an up and down season for me personally, the injury was not great but to experience a new culture, to meet new people and gel with new teammates and staff has been brilliant.
"I would have liked to have had a better season overall, of course, but to end it like that was great and I really hope I can bring that sort of form into next season.
"I am really excited, I hope everyone could see over these last few weeks since I came back from the injury that the team is building confidence and we are all raring to go because it feels like there is something special we are building here and I really hope we can take that into next season."
