Alan Sheehan | Swans must put 'own stamp' on game
Swans boss Alan Sheehan says it is important his side put their "own stamp" on the game as they welcome Watford to the Swansea.com Stadium this afternoon (12.30pm).
The Swans face the Hornets in the second of back-to-back home league games, picking up three points against last season's play-off finalists Sheffield United last week.
Sheehan is hoping to build on an impressive home run which has seen the Swans head coach record six wins in the last eight league games in SA1.
"It's a good record. The fans play a huge part, and with how we're playing, we're getting the fans involved in the game,” said the Swans boss.
"I love playing at home, and I know the players do. It's a wonderful place to play football and we want to win every game, and we want to send the fans home with a win and having been entertained.
"The mood has been really good. The mood around the football club in general is really good, and we added to that with the performance and win against Sheffield United.
"We want to keep on building with that. This is a new group, we want to find that consistency with that level of performance in order to be competitive."
Watford come into the fixture on the back of a home win against Queens Park Rangers at Vicarage Road, having lost their opening day clash with Charlton Athletic.
And Sheehan expects a tough test from the Hornets who will be looking to pick up three points on the road for the first time this season.
"It'll be a tough game. They're a highly physical and athletic team. A team who recruited well in the summer and brought in some quality," he added.
"We've got to put our own stamp on the game, get the fans involved and hopefully, we'll have a positive day."
