Aldo Kalulu relished his first taste of Championship football and is eager to quickly adapt his game and make his mark for Swansea City.

The 23-year-old forward made his debut in the goalless draw at Derby, playing 68 minutes before being withdrawn with an injury.

Nevertheless, the France youth international was delighted to get an immediate chance to impress at his new club.

“With it being my first game, it was a new experience for me,” he said.

“It was not easy but we managed to get a good point and I hope we win on Tuesday in the cup against Northampton.

“The style of football in this league is more direct, which is something new for me.

“It’s different but I like it. I don’t know my team-mates properly yet, so I need time to get used to it but I think I can adapt and do well.

“I didn’t play a lot of games during pre-season so I’m not fully fit yet.

“But, after a few games, I think I will be better and show to my coach and team-mates what I can do.”
