The Boot Room staff are pitch side at Swansea.com Stadium

Swansea City is once again joining up with The Boot Room to host a boot drive at the upcoming Championship match against Birmingham City at the Swansea.com Stadium on February 4.

The game, which kicks off at 3pm, will coincide with the EFL Green Football Weekend and recycling clothes and footwear is a major way to help reduce landfill sites.

An estimated 350,000 tonnes of clothing goes to waste each year, increasing greenhouse gas emissions, and causing harm to the environment.

As well as having a significant and positive impact in providing more and more young people across Swansea with the opportunity to play football, donating boots and unwanted sporting clothes can also help lessen our collective impact on the environment.

The drop-off point will be the Swansea City club shop, with staff from The Boot Room on site to manage donations. Supporters will be able to drop boots and kit off from 9.30am when the club shop opens.

As a thank you, the club will be running a competition which will give supporters the opportunity to win a full Swansea City 2022-23 kit.

More information will be available on how to enter upon making your donation. The winner will be announced in the stadium during half-time and contacted post-match.

Please note: The Boot Room cannot accept boots which do not meet the new FAW standards and boots should be clean before they are donated.

If you will not be at Saturday’s match between Swansea City and Birmingham City, you can still support The Boot Room by donating sporting clothes and shoes at any of the following locations.

Locations around the city and county will accept boot donations:
