Britton: Focus now on Saints test

23rd September

Leon Britton insists the Swans will quickly focus their attentions on a Barclays Premier League trip to Southampton after exiting the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
Garry Monk's side bowed out of the competition after David Meyler scored the only goal as Championship side Hull City progressed to the fourth round.
It proved a frustrating night for the Swans, who spurned a number of chances to score in a game in which they saw a goal ruled out along with striking the woodwork and seeing an effort cleared off the line.
But Britton, who captained the Swans at the KC Stadium, insists Monk's men won't dwell on the result as they turn their attention to preparing for the trip to Southampton.
"It was very frustrating because we created a lot of chances, particularly in the first half, and we should have been a few goals up before they scored," said the midfielder.
"That's football though. If you don't take your chances then you won't win.
"They got their goal and that allowed them to sit back and defend to see the game out.
"It's very frustrating as we wanted to do well in the cup. We know how great this competition is and we had ambitions of making a real go of it.
"But there's no time to dwell on this. Our focus quickly moves to Saturday's game and we must mentally prepare for it as well as tactically."
