Cameron Evans makes Waterford loan move
Swansea City defender Cameron Evans has joined Waterford FC on loan for their League of Ireland Premier Division campaign, subject to international clearance.
The 19-year-old links up with the top-flight club ahead of the start of the Irish domestic season, which is currently scheduled for March.
Swansea City has taken up the option to extend Evans’ contract through to the summer of 2022, and will also have the option of recalling him in the summer.
The centre-half was added to the first-team squad in the wake of the suspension of last season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He made his senior debut in the FA Cup third-round win over Stevenage last month.
Evans first joined the Swans at under-nine level, and has captained the club at under-18, under-19 and under-23 level.
