Clancy eyes upturn in fortunes for U18s

Charlie Clancy believes Swansea City Under-18s have a chance to start to move up the Premier League South table in the coming weeks.

The young Swans host Reading at Landore on Saturday (1pm) in what will be their first home league game of 2019.

And, after a tough run of results in consecutive away games at Tottenham, West Ham and Chelsea, teenage forward Clancy hopes they can return to winning ways.

"I’m looking forward to the games we have coming up because I believe they are fixtures we can get results in. We want to get some points and move up that table," he said.

"Defensively, we’ve conceded silly goals and, at the other end, we haven’t been as clinical as we would’ve liked to be. We know we need to address those issues, because we know we are more than capable of getting results if we do."
