Cooper hopeful on Aldo Kalulu injury
Steve Cooper hopes Aldo Kalulu will be available for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie against Northampton after being forced off during his debut at Derby.
The forward, signed on loan from Basel, started at Pride Park and showed some positive touches before being withdrawn after going down with 22 minutes to play.
While head coach Cooper said it was too early to give a prognosis on the French youth international’s problem, he is hopeful it was nothing more serious than cramp.
“We don’t know the situation on Aldo,” said Cooper.
“I am hoping, with it being his first game, it was a bit of cramp.
“We will have to see, it was unfortunate it happened after just making a change with Nathan Dyer. “It’s too early to say but it’s good to see new players on the pitch.
“We are in a decent place and look forward to Tuesday.”
