The Swans made progress in the League Cup as they came from behind to beat League One strugglers Tranmere at Prenton Park.

Enoch Showunmi had given the hosts the lead after 22 minutes, but the Swans didn’t book their spot in the third round until the latter stages of this contest.

The three goals came in the final 17 minutes, with Cedric van der Gun levelling before Scott Sinclair put the visitors ahead 60 seconds later.

Brendan Rodgers’ side rubberstamped victory in the final minute as Stephen Dobbie teed up Shefki Kuqi in added on time to slot home.

After seeing off Peterborough in the next round courtesy of Scott Sinclair’s hat-trick, the Swans’ cup adventure ended in the fourth round at the hands of Roberto Martinez’s Wigan.
