Jonathan de Guzman scored twice as Swansea City eased past Norwich City on this day in 2015.

The Swans went into the game below Norwich City in the Premier League table and only just outside the bottom three.

But Garry Monk’s team eased relegation concerns with a classy display.

The Swans went ahead on the half hour when Jonjo Shelvey’s cross was only half-cleared and de Guzman finished smartly from the edge of the box.

And Monk’s men were 2-0 up before half-time as a superb move saw Wilfried Bony backheel the ball into de Guzman’s path and the Dutchman lifted the ball over Canaries keeper John Ruddy.

Chris Hughton’s Norwich briefly threatened to launch a comeback after the break, but the Swans sealed victory 15 minutes from the end when Shelvey fed Wayne Routledge and he rolled home.
