A wonder-strike from Ferrie Bodde and goals from Jason Scotland and Guillem Bauza gave the Swans a comfortable 3-1 victory over Watford at the Liberty in 2008.

In what was Malky Mackay’s first game as caretaker-manager of the Hornets, Watford opened the scoring shortly after the half-hour mark through Lee Williamson with a skilful finish.

But, just a minute later Bodde equalised with a long-range screamer.

Trinidad and Tobago international Scotland gave Roberto Martinez’s side the lead just before the hour following a superb pass from the halfway line from Bodde.

The Swans had several chances as they searched for their third, with Bauza eventually making the points safe in injury time.

At the end of the 2008-09 season, the Swans finished just outside the Championship play-off places.
