On this day in 2009, the Swans maintained their 100 per cent home league record with victory over Coventry City at the Liberty.

Brendan Rodgers’ side had led after 19 minutes via Darren Pratley, who headed home Mark Gower’s pinpoint corner.

The hosts doubled their lead two minutes into the second half when Pratley’s effort stuck the post before being tapped home by Scott Sinclair from six yards out.

The Sky Blues cut the deficit before the hour mark via Ben Turner, but the Swans held on to claim three precious points.

The season would end in glory for the Swans, with Rodgers’ side earning promotion to the top-flight by winning the Championship play-off final.

And the Liberty crowd was cheering again a minute later as sub Paul Anderson curled in a superb effort from the left flank to seal victory.
