Kenny Jackett’s Swansea City thrashed Carlisle United 5-0 in a League One encounter at the Liberty Stadium on this day in 2006.

Goals from Dennis Lawrence, Darren Pratley and Andy Robinson and a brace from Rory Fallon saw the Swans pick up their biggest win of the season, moving them back into a play-off position.

Lawrence opened the scoring inside 10 minutes before strikes from Fallon and Robinson sent the Swans into the break with a three-goal lead.

Lee Trundle picked up a hat-trick of assists, setting up Lawrence’s opener before providing for Pratley and Fallon to complete the rout in the second half.
